Record a coverage or supply lapse
Tell GLP-Won your coverage, prior authorization or supply has lapsed — from Today, Medication or the Transition Center — so it freezes a baseline to watch your trends against.
If your coverage, a prior authorization or your supply has already lapsed, you can record it as a coverage interruption. GLP-Won freezes today's numbers as a baseline to compare against. It doesn't change anything about your medication — your clinician decides what happens next. Cost and coverage are the most common reasons people stop, so the card is on the pages you open most.
Steps
- On Today or the Medication page, open the Coverage, prior auth or supply lapsed? card. It's also in the Transition Center, as Coverage or supply just lapsed or at the bottom of Thinking about a change?.
- Optionally, fill in What lapsed? (optional) — for example, "prior auth denied Friday".
- Select Record a coverage or supply lapse (in the Transition Center, Declare an interruption or Coverage or supply has already lapsed). You land back on the page you started from.
- The card now reads Coverage interruption on file wherever it appears, with Open to the Transition Center.
- When your coverage returns, go to the Coverage interruption on file card in the Transition Center. If you're exploring readiness, choose Coverage is back, and I'm on treatment as before to go back to preparing while on treatment, or Coverage is back, but keep exploring. Otherwise select Coverage is back.
Good to know
- The card links to the manufacturers' own self-pay pages, LillyDirect and NovoCare, rather than quoting prices: both publish cash prices and both have changed them within the year. Their pages, their prices — whether and how to continue is your prescriber's.
- The frozen baseline records your latest weight (unless you've hidden weight), your average food noise and protein over the past 30 days, and how many strength sessions you logged in that time.
- While it's active, a Coverage interruption is on file card appears on your Home screen, and you get a notification confirming it.
- If you hadn't started exploring readiness in the Transition Center, recording an interruption starts that too.
- Closing the interruption keeps the frozen baseline in your record, and the date it lapsed and came back stays in Your history in the Transition Center.
- While an interruption is on file you can't declare another one — the baseline stays as it was frozen on the day it lapsed.
