Get notifications on your phone's lock screen
Phone app only: show GLP-Won reminders and symptom responses on your lock screen, and why they can arrive a little late.
This is available in the GLP-Won iPhone and Android app only. Turn it on and the notifications you already get in GLP-Won, such as dose reminders, symptom responses and messages from your care team, also appear on your phone's lock screen.
Steps
- In the GLP-Won phone app, tap Menu, then the Settings button (the gear icon) at the bottom of the menu.
- Find the Notifications on this device card and tap Turn on.
- If your phone asks whether GLP-Won may send notifications, allow it.
- The card now shows On. Tap Check now whenever you want to look for new ones straight away.
- To stop them, tap Turn off on the same card.
Good to know
- The app checks for new notifications when you open it and roughly every 15 minutes in the background, so a reminder may arrive a little after it's due. Your phone can hold background checks back further, and sometimes a notification only appears when you next open the app.
- Quiet hours and the daily limit still apply, using your phone's own clock. This doesn't add notifications; it shows the ones you'd already get.
- Symptom responses aren't held by quiet hours. On Android they have their own notification channel, so muting reminders doesn't mute them.
- If the card says notifications are turned off in your device settings, turn them on for GLP-Won there, then come back.
