Flag a community post
Mark a community post that worries you for a moderator, without hiding or removing it.
If a post in your room looks unsafe, unkind or wrong, you can flag it so a moderator knows. Flagging is quiet: nobody else in the room sees it.
Steps
- Open the menu, then Support → Community (Community), and find the post.
- Tap Flag under the post, beside Reply.
- You'll see Flagged for a moderator. at the top of the page.
Good to know
- Flagging doesn't hide or remove the post. That's deliberate: otherwise a few members could take down any post they disagreed with, and in a health community that's often the accurate ones.
- Flagged posts appear at the top of the room for moderators, under Flagged by members, most-flagged first. A moderator reads the post and either leaves it up, which clears the flags, or removes it.
- The post's author isn't told that it was flagged or who flagged it.
- You can't flag your own post, so the Flag button doesn't appear on it.
- A post that tells someone what to do with their medication is usually held for review before anyone else sees it, so you may never come across one.
- If someone seems to be in danger, don't rely on a flag. In an emergency, call 911.
