Log a side effect or symptom

Record a symptom with its severity, how long it has lasted and your own notes, and see guidance as soon as you save.

Logging a side effect builds a record you and your care team can look back on, and GLP-Won shows you guidance as soon as you save. If you think you need urgent care, call 911 (or your local emergency number) — don't wait for the app.

Steps

  1. Open the menu, then Track → Medication (Medication).
  2. Scroll to the Log side effect card.
  3. Choose the Type. If yours isn't listed, choose Other.
  4. Move the Severity slider from 1 to 10, where 10 is the most severe. The number beside it shows your rating.
  5. Under How long has it lasted?, pick a range from Less than a day to More than 2 weeks, or Not sure.
  6. In Notes, describe it in your own words — what it feels like, where, and anything unusual.
  7. Select Log Side Effect.

Good to know

  • GLP-Won reads your notes as well as the severity, looking for anything that needs a faster response, so your own words matter — plain phrasings like "my eyes look yellow" or "my throat is closing" count, as does sudden loss of vision in one eye, or pain under your right ribs together with a fever.
  • Other diabetes medicines, further down the Medication page, asks whether you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea (glipizide, glimepiride, glyburide and others). It's a yes or no — GLP-Won keeps no other medication details. If you say yes, shakiness, sweating or "low blood sugar" in your notes routes to your prescriber rather than reading as everyday, because with a GLP-1 that combination is where low blood sugar can happen. The Type list also offers Low blood sugar symptoms.
  • What you see next depends on what you logged — the two milder kinds of guidance appear on the Medication page, and the two more serious ones open a full page. "What you see after logging a symptom" explains each.
  • Your entries appear under Recent side effects with the date, severity, how long it lasted and your notes.
  • You can also describe a symptom in Quick capture. It goes through the same check and shows the same guidance.
  • GLP-Won records symptoms; it doesn't diagnose them. Your clinician is the person to ask what a symptom means for you.
